At Plympton St Maurice, we use Purple Mash to teach computing. This program is used alongside supplemental tools and activities to create an inspiring and engaging computing curriculum that not only gives us the ability to respond to children’s interests, but also gives our pupils a comprehensive and effective skill set, readying them for becoming valuable members of a digital world whilst staying safe online.  

The scheme of work is intended to support our teachers in delivering fun and engaging lessons that raise standards and allow all pupils to achieve by building on prior learning whilst feeling confident to challenge themselves to try the next step.

Our aspiration is for every child to access an exciting, rich, relevant and challenging Computing curriculum. For pupils to become responsible, respectful and competent users of data, information and communication technology that equips them with the capability to use technology throughout their lives whilst being able to minimise risk to themselves or others.
