Administration Assistant

Job Type 32.50hrs per week, 39 weeks per year, Permanent

Salary/Grade Grade C £16,781 - £18,070 per annum, pro rata

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our busy Administration team.

As our main contact on the Reception Desk you will be the face of Plympton St. Maurice Primary school taking calls, dealing with visitors face-to-face, updating SchoolMoney and providing high level administrative support as part of the wider Administration team.

The ideal applicants will be enthusiastic, hardworking, a multi-tasker and extremely well organised. We are looking for candidates who have professional and excellent communication skills (oral and written), a clear telephone manner, proven computer skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload whilst remaining calm under pressure.

Applicants must be able to develop positive behaviour strategies with children, have positive relationships with Parents/Carers, be a good team member and hold GCSE Grade A* - C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Mealtime Assistant

Job Type 5.12 hours per week, term time only, Permanent

Grade A, Point 6, £7.78 per hour

We seek to appoint a Meal Time Assistant who is:

  • highly motivated by the prospect of becoming a positive role model for pupils and meal time staff by ensuring key skills are developed during lunchtime sessions
  • intrinsically motivated by the prospect of developing pupil leaders and positive learning environments during lunchtime sessions
  • organise key play-based learning activities during lunch sessions
